ANGEL NEGRO es una banda formada a finales de 1991 por su guitarrista Mauricio Belalcazar, en la ciudad de Cali (Colombia). Comenzaron tocando covers de bandas como Sepultura, Slayer, Death mientras se daban a conocer en la escena Metal nacional, siguiendo luego su propio estilo, pasando por el Thrash Metal, el Thrash Death, hasta llegar al estilo que los identifica actualmente, el Death Metal.
